Topic: Excluding a folder or subfolder in .htaccess

Hi,
I've tries most of the possible ways to exclude a directory from Rewrite rule in .htaccess. But it is not working. Neither is subfolder .htaccess taking over the parent.
I want to exclude "public/uploads/newfolder"
Help please!
Current .htaccess is default monstra.

It is still redirecting to the 404 Error Page. But Directory exists.

Re: Excluding a folder or subfolder in .htaccess

RewriteBase /
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/newfolder/.*$
    RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php [QSA,L]
    ## End - Rewrite rules for Monstra

This is the code I'm using right  now but mydomain.com/newfolder is still redirecting to the custom 404 error page. Any idea what's wrong?

Re: Excluding a folder or subfolder in .htaccess

Okay I found the problem. I wasn't modifying the Directory listing for sub folder which I had to do by creating a child .htaccess for that sub folder xD
